Q. What is AwayOnBiz?
A. AwayOnBiz is an application that sits on your smart phone and allows you to pick which ringing tone you want a caller that phones you to hear. Usually when you call a mobile that it outside its home country a different ringtone is heard by the caller volunteering that fact that you are out of the country. AwayOnBiz is the app for your smart phone that solves this problem and protects your privacy.

Q. Why would I want that?
A. You may be based in London and want to work from your house in France on a Friday without your clients realising you are out of the country.

Q. So how does it work?
A. You download the application on your phone. When you open the application, you pick which location you want to appear to be in, either the UK, Europe, US or Asia. Anyone then calling your mobile device will hear the ringing tone of the selected location.

Q. What about the in country telephony providers?
A. The local telephony providers deliver the call as normal. What actually happens is that the device immediately answers the call before the local telephony providers play their local ringing tone. The application, because it’s answered the call, plays the desired ringing tone to the calling party and then let’s you know that there’s an incoming call. You then choose to answer or not or let the call go to Voicemail.
